Iris wall art for a moody room: choose a restrained floral palette

Night Iris Wall Art: the referenced Thornvella print displayed prominently in a warm gothic interior.

Iris artwork brings a floral accent to a moody room through slender stems and distinctive petal shapes. Night Iris can connect dark furniture with a restrained colour accent, particularly when the rest of the room uses plain fabrics. Begin with one selected print and allow its actual colours to guide the accessories.

Pull one petal tone into a cushion or throw

Pull a single petal tone into a cushion, throw or small ceramic piece. The colour does not need to match perfectly; a related muted tone can feel more natural among existing furnishings. If the artwork contains several accents, choose the one that already has a connection with the room instead of introducing all of them at once.

Let slim stems contrast with solid furniture forms

Let the slim stems contrast with the solid forms below. A plain cabinet or upholstered chair gives the flowers a quiet base. A vase of tall, elaborate flowers may compete with the illustration, so compare it with a lower bowl or a simple stem. Leave the main flower heads visible above any objects on the furniture.

Compare green-black and parchment grounds in the room light

Compare a dark-ground and pale-ground design in the actual room light. The lighter version may lift a dark wall, while a deep ground can create a contained focal point on pale paint. Check the detail from both the doorway and a seated viewpoint before choosing the final print and frame combination.

Check the A1 print before choosing a frame

The supplied A1 artwork is portrait, 594 × 841 mm. Measure the paper and the outside frame separately, then make a full-size paper template to test the wall. PNG files are 7016 × 9933 pixels, tagged at 300 DPI; the matching SVGs are editable vector artwork. Ask your printer to check the chosen file, paper and any border or bleed requirements. A small proof helps you assess colour and fine detail before ordering a large print. Printing and framing are separate from the digital download.
